From the time I was a young teenager just
experimenting with makeup,
I was always very frustrated with trying
to find the right colors and coverage for the rosacea I dealt with.
I limited myself to using a very minimal amount of
makeup because I found covering with liquid foundation left me with that
not so beautiful demarcation line at the jaw or hairline. As a
result I always opted for light powder foundations and basic eye shadow
colors.
In the beginning stages of creating my
bath and body product line for
Touch of Nature Bath and Body,
I began to use micas and iron oxides
to color my products. I became very
fascinated with learning more about colorants and the ingredients used
in cosmetics. After learning about all of the unnecessary
ingredients used in traditional cosmetics, I realized that those
ingredients may have been a contributing factor to the difficulty in
keeping my skin clear. Many ingredients were most likely clogging
my pores and just irritating my skin overall. So I began my
journey to create a cosmetics line that contained only trusted quality
ingredients.
Mineralz Cosmetics was developed in hopes
of creating a product line
that is light, airy and long lasting, and
non-comedongenic.
